Little Monkey

I was heading to put the laundry away when I had to do a double take to realize what I saw. Boston somehow decided to climb up and hang out on one of the shelves of our entertainment center. This kid. Landen never did things like that. I will have to always keep my eye on this little monkey. He's quiet and sneaky. In fact, I just pulled him out from underneath our bed.

Boys will be.....Girls?

Rob will probably kill me for posting this. He had his wisdom teeth taken out over the weekend and so we were at my parents house most of the time so the boys could be entertained while I took care of Rob. I am the primary chorister, so on Sunday I had to leave for a few hours to go to church. While I was gone, my mom and my sisters had a LOT of fun with my boys. Rob was obviously still out of it from the surgery cause when I got back this is what they showed me.

I'm sure this will be the last time they ever put on something like, if Rob has anything to say about it. But they do look kinda pretty don't you think?! Ha Ha

Just Because

On Thursday Rob had told me a package was coming so I needed to make sure I was home cause I might have to sign for it. So I made sure I was home, and around 2:30 a lady knocked at my door and was I ever surprised to see her holding this when I openend the door.
Rob had sent me a chocolate kiss bouquet of roses. I was very surprised! It was very sweet and I loved it! I opened the card and all it said on it was "Just Because I Love You"
Thanks Rob, I Love You Too!

Haircut

It's not like this is Boston's first haircut or anything, but he still looks so cute just the same. Here are a few pictures during and after I cut his hair.

He obviously didn't like the outcome.

FAMILY HOME EVENING

We had our first ACTUAL Family Home Evening tonight. HOORAY! I did a lesson on Noah's Ark and the boys loved it. We started out singing Popcorn Popping and Landen copied the whole thing, but Boston was grumpy and just had a scowl on his face the whole time. Then Landen said the prayer and then I pulled out the lesson. I told them the story of Noah (very quickly because Landen was practically jumping up and down waiting for the animals) and then they got to fill the ark with the animals. Landen was elated. It's amazing how much he LOVES animals. He can name off just about any animal you show him a picture of, no matter how abstract, it baffles me.

We gave Boston Noah to put in the Ark.

But he decided to just eat him instead. The flood was nothing compared to the mouth of Boston.

We finished with a kneeling family prayer and then had ice cream and watched Enchanted. I really enjoyed it and I'm glad Landed is getting to the age where he can enjoy and learn things from the lessons too. I just hope I can be a good example and make sure I'm teaching my kids all that I can.

Fun Saturday

On Saturday we took the boys to see WallE. The movie has been out for a while but I just found out that on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, all movies before noon at AMC are only $5.00!!! You can't beat that! Landen was really excited and had been talking about WallE all morning before we got there and this was Boston's first time seeing a movie in the theatre.

Once we got there Landen was to embarrassed to get his picture with WallE, but Boston was all for it.

Boston just kept staring at WallE, but I finally got a shot of him looking at the camera.

Then Landen decided he wasn't to cool for pictures anymore, so him and WallE made friends and now they hold hands.

But then his mood changed when we went inside and a dinasour almost ate him. Just look at his face.

They boys did really good during the movie. Landen helped Rob get the popcorn while me and Boston went and got our seats. Landen loved the movie. He was laughing and laughing through it. Then a little over halfway he just couldn't fight it anymore and he fell asleep. Boston also started getting restless about halfway through.
Later that day we took the boys over to the Splash Pad at San Tan Village Mall. They LOVED it!! Boston was giggling like crazy before we even had him out of the stroller.

Landen was a little cautious at first. He started out slow but then he let loose and had a blast.
Here is both the boys getting splashed in the face together.

By the end, they were completely drenched and shivering cold, but I think they thought it was TOTALLY worth it. I am going to take them back there often, so if anyone wants to come with us, just let me know!
After the drenching we made a stop at the Disney Store and let the boys pick out some new PJ's. I didn't think they would pick the same ones, but I guess great minds think alike.

Twilight

So I am clearly behind when it come to being with the "in crowd". It seemed like everyone was going crazy over this thing called Twilight and Breaking Dawn and yada yada yada and I had no idea what everyone was talking about. I didn't even know it was a series of books. But with a lot of *urging* from a certain friend (APRIL :D) and since my sister conveniently has the entire series already, I decided to start reading it. I just finished the first book Twilight, and it was pretty good. The story itself was really good and interesting (it's about vampires, but in a tasteful way) but you can tell it's the authors first book. Some of the sentences I had to read a couple of times because of the way the author worded things. I am a pretty good reader, but this book took me longer than expected to read, not because of the story but because of the actual "literation" of the book. Still, I enjoyed it and am ready to move onto the next book of the series. Tell me your thoughts, whether you have read the book or not, I am curious as to what your reactions are to this book or series.
