Halloween anticipation

My Little Animals
(frog, giraffe)
I know it's early, but the boys have been SO excited about their Halloween costumes that they could hardly stand it. They wanted to show Kelly, so we let them play around in them for awhile. And if any of you know Landen, you know how OBSESSED he is with animals, especially elephants and Giraffes. So he asks every single day if he can wear his Giraffe.

Just like Daddy

Landen wants to be just like Rob. He decided to dress up like him, all on his own.
Boston doesn't try to dress up like daddy yet, but he does like to copy and follow around big brother.

I have NO idea what made him pose like this. This kid is crazy. I promise Rob doesn't go around posing like this!

Schnepf Farms Pumpkin & Chili Festival

We are really good family friends with Mark and Carrie Schnepf, so every year my family helps out at their Pumpkin & Chili Festival. I will be working there almost every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the month of October. My family is running the burger shack so if you come, stop by and say HI! It's a really fun family place, it has rides, animals, shows, stores, pumpkin patch, train, and really good food. It is going on Thursday-Sunday every weekend October 2- November 2. Here's the website you can check out, click on EVENT CALENDAR and it will give you the details. http://www.schnepffarms.com/

Finally Well!

For those of you that have been following my recent sickness (not that it's many of you), I am finally almost completely well!!! I am pretty much over the walking pneumonia, now I just have to deal with my asthma, and even that isn't very bad anymore. So thanks SO MUCH for everyone that helped me out this last month or brought us dinner (Jen, your soup could win awards!!). You will receive many blessings, as you have brought to me.

Under the weather

Well it seems like I am never going to get well. I went to the doc Friday, and he said I should be feeling much better by Monday. Well Monday rolls around and I am still the same if not worse. All that medicine he had me on wasn't doing anything, except the antibiotic was making me really sick. So I called yesterday morning and talked to the doctor and he told me to throw out the old antibiotic and he started me on a new. This is the one they give you if you have pneumonia. I really hope this one works. He also said that if I'm not doing much better by Wednesday then I have to go back in right away. Which means I will probably have to get chest x-rays, blood drawn and all that irritating stuff. I HATE being sick like this. I still have to teach my dance classes and be a mom, life doesn't stop when you get sick. It just makes everything almost impossible to do. It's been 3 1/2 weeks now, so I am SOOOO ready to be over this!

Prognosis

Well, it's official. I have bronchitis. And to top it off, my lungs are totally inflamed and my asthma is going crazy. I know the picture is kinda gross, but the one on the right is what mine looks like apparently. Good thing I have had asthma my whole life and I'm used to not being able to breathe! The doctor prescribed a new inhaler, another type of asthma medicine, an awesome antibiotic, and a steroid. I guess it's a good thing I went to the doctor, we caught it before it turned into pneumonia. And to think, I've been teaching with this for almost 3 weeks now.

Disneyland!

"When you wish upon a star....."
In March we are taking the boys to Disneyland for their very first time!
(Well, technically Landen has already been twice, but he was in my tummy, so he will enjoy it much more this time.) I am so excited to see their reactions to everything! Rob isn't a big Disneyland fan (Boo on him!) but even he is excited to take the boys. My whole entire family is going, along with Kelly and Levi, so it will be SO fun! Being the Disneyland experts that we are (we have been so many times that we could be tour guides) we usually try to not go during the busy times, but Spring Break was all we could do because Rob can't miss school. We wanted to go now because the boys are big enough to recognize things but they are still young enough we don't have to buy them a ticket! We know how to work the system. We will be there for 5 days and we get in an hour early one of the days.
I can't wait!
"......your dreams come true!"

Dr.

I have had a really deep cough for the past 2 weeks and my asthma has been out of control. I have had to use my inhaler more in the last 2 weeks than I have in the past 3 years altogether. Rob kept telling me I should go to the doctor, but I kept putting it off just hoping it would get better on its own. But it hasn't, in fact it got worse. I am tired all the time and my asthma is making it almost impossible to teach my dance classes, let alone take my own classes. So I finally gave in and made an appt. for this afternoon. At the very least they will tell me I just have a bad cough and they will give me a refill for my inhaler. So we will see what they say.

Camera Fun

Landen loves posing with us for pictures, so before I left for dance we had some fun with the camera. Little Boston poked his head in a few times, but other than that, he wasn't interested. Although he did try to eat the camera.

PITBULL PUPPIES

Yesterday we were on our way home from my parents house and it was around 10:30 at night. The AJ animal pound is just about a mile or so from our house and as we were coming down the road, Rob hits the brakes and we both just stared. There were 3 pitbull puppies just running around in the road. There was NO WAY we were gonna just leave them there, so I hopped into the bed of the truck and Rob loaded up the puppies. It was right in front of the pound so we pulled into their parking lot to see if there was anyone there, or an after hours number to call, and we found 2 more! We decided not to call the animal control because these are BEAUTIFUL pups and we didn't want anything to happen to them. So I rode in the back of the truck surrounded by 5 pitbull pups that just kept giving me tons of love. I can't believe someone would just dump these puppies off in the desert like that. They are very healthy and are just gorgeous. We are trying to find good homes for them, so if you want a FREE PITBULL PUPPY, just let me know. Or if you just want to come see them, they are just precious. I will have a hard time letting them go.

Grandparents Day

Today is Grandparent's Day and we wanted to show the grandparents how much we love them. So yesterday we put together a treat for my parents and my grandma and I made cards for Rob's mom also. We decided to take some pics of the boys to put in the cards and these were the best ones.

We just want to say how much we love and appreciate all the grandparents in Rob's, the boy's , and my life. Thank you for everything you all do.
WE LOVE YOU!!!

Shots

I hate it when the boys have to get shots. I know it's for their own protection but it is just SO SAD! Today we took Landen and Boston both to the Dr. for their checkups, and Landen doesn't have to get any more shots until he starts kindergarten, but Boston was getting 4 today. Or so I thought. I scheduled the boys' appts. a long time ago and the doctors office has called and made us reschedule twice (SO IRRITATING!!), so by the time they finally got in to see the doctor they were a couple months late on their appointments. So after the doctor comes in and checks out the boys (which they are both doing just perfect!) she tells me that Boston is going to be getting 5 shots because he is behind now AND he needs to get a hemaglobin(SP?) test, so he has to get his finger poked too. AND Landen also has to get his finger poked! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I was sad Landen had to get his finger poked, but POOR BOSTON! So the nurse came in to give the shots and we told her to do Landen's finger first because we figured he would be a dramatic mess afterwards. The nurse cleaned the area and we all braced ourselves, but as we watched in AMAZEMENT, he didn't even make a peep! He thought it was cool when he saw the drop of blood she squeezed out!!! Who is this kid?! Boston reacted the SAME WAY, to the finger poke that is. The shots were a different story. He was shaking he was crying so hard. I felt like a horrible mother putting my baby through that, but I know it's what I need to do. No matter how hard. Boston came home and took a really long nap and he is doing really well now. We will see how he does tomorrow. But the good news is that Boston only needs one more shot then our family is DONE with shots till the boys start school. WOO HOO!!
