Luau

My cousin Jillene is leaving tomorrow for BYU Hawaii and we went to a going away Luau for her this past weekend. It went really well and the boys had a blast!
I took mostly video but here are a few pictures of the boys in their Hawaiin get-up.

Landen and his weird faces.

Cute little Boston

Here's a video of Landen doing one of the Tongan dances, He LOVED it!

Ninja turtle

I am hoping that this...

Turned into this......

and this....
will eventually become what will be a couple of awesome ninja turtle shells. Landen loves ninja turtles and that's what him and Boston want to be for Halloween. Landen has to be Leo of course. I looked online for costumes, but they are so expensive and they look so cheap! SO we are home making some ninja turtles.
Wish us luck.

Under the knife, kid style

A couple weeks ago Landen had ear surgery on his left ear. He had a congenial cholestoma (sp?). It's an extra piece of skin in his eardrum that crystalized and would get bigger. It was an outpatient surgery and only took about an hour and a half. Landen was a trooper!! ALL the nurses just LOVED him!!! He was being so funny the whole time. He really did great.
Landen waiting in the wait room and he loved it cause there was animal stuff everywhere.

Landen in his cute hospital gown and ninja turtle socks.
(Look at those banana legs!!)

He loved waiting in this chair during pre-op and had everyone laughing!

Just being silly

Cute bum!

He kept taking pics of the nurses and his ninja turtle socks.

Here is the first time we saw him after surgery. Still passed out with the IV.

When he finally woke up, he woke up SCREAMING because he didn't want a cotton ball in his ear. He cried the entire way home and for awhile after we got home. Until we got the pain medicine in him (thank you baby vicodin!), then he did much better.

Here he is waiting for the medicine to kick in.

We were so glad that he did well and that it was a relatively easy surgery. It was SO HARD sending him into the surgery room without me. But he was so brave and is doing fantastic! And thank goodness for his pediatrician that just happened to see something a little strange in his left ear at one of his checkups!

Pregnancy pic

Pregnancy pics, ugh!! But due to the requests of seeing my belly, here I am at 25 weeks. Ignore the messy hair and no makeup!!

Almost there (kinda)

I am almost 25 weeks and things are going well. The baby is fantastic, I'm just already sick of being pregnant. I sound like such a horrible person when I say how much I hate being pregnant. I don't really like any part of it, except for when I deliver the baby. Don't get me wrong, I am very excited for our little girl to be a part of our family, I am just having a hard time getting to that point. I just need to count my blessings. I am very thankful that we have such an easy time getting pregnant and that we have such healthy babies and pregnancies. I suppose I just don't like feeling limited in what I can do physically, (not to mention the ridiculous weight gain!) I had Landen when he was 38 weeks and Boston when he was 37 weeks, so if I keep that in mind, I only have 12 or 13 weeks left. Almost there, almost there, almost there.

Woo Hoo

Well, it's official. Landen is a psychic. He has been saying since I got pregnant that this is a baby girl. In fact he has been so adament about it, that I was a little worried because he was not going to accept it if it was a boy(although he told the ultrasound lady that it was an Elephant Baby). BUT no need for worries because we found out yesteray that it's a GIRL!!!
We are all really excited. It will be the first granddaughter on both sides, so this little princess is going to be VERY spoiled! And I'm excited I will get to have a baby shower. I don't have any little girl stuff at all, so it will be awesome. It will probably be sometime in September, so I will be asking for EVERYONE's addresses.

In other news, Landen had his CT scan yesterday and he did awesome! He was so good! I wasn't allowed in because of the baby, but Rob said they strapped him down a little so he wouldn't fall off the table and by the last picture Landen says to Rob, "Daddy, I'm stuck. And I gotta pee!" So cute. We should here from the doctor on Wednesday or so and then we will schedule his surgery for his ear.

Thanks everyone for sending us your girl vibes!
(although I would have been fine with all boys!)

Beach House 2009

WARNING: Picture overload

My family has been going to a beach house in the Ventura, CA area every summer since I was 8 years old. I'm so glad we got to go this year, we had so much fun, even if it was freezing cold most of the time. We were there from June 26th-July 2nd, and I wish we could have stayed longer. I am such a beach lover. I want to live near an ocean more than anything.

The boys LOVED going for walks and finding shells. Landen loved fishing and caught his first fish, then fish after fish. Boston loved playing in the sand. It was overcast and cold most of the time, so I only went deep out into the water once, but it was still so awesome. The beach is just in my blood. Here are a few pictures of the great time we had.
